Sonia Panesar alongwith her brother, World Renowned Percussionist Bobby Panesar, have teamed up to bring back traditional Punjabi wedding songs albeit with a contemporary twist.
Accompanied by iconic voice of Dil Nai Lagda, Vinni Virdee on Vocals and an array of musicians across the UK, together they perform songs originally sung by Surinder Kaur & Prakash Kaur to Musarat Nazir & even Noor Jehan., including Gidha / Boliyan / Tappe / Old Punjabi Classics / Ghorhi / Mehndi and Viah Shaadi Shagan Lok Geet - all performed in the very traditional yet contemporary new age style using Voice, Dholak and Guitar.

SPIRITUAL
Sonia Panesar's journey in music started with learning classical Ragas with Shabad Gurbani.
Although versatile, Sonia remains loyal to her core learning experience and has a personal ambition of helping to heal people through spiritual music - with the use of Shabad Gurbani, Bhajans and other devotional songs and lyrics.
Sonia's passion for spirituality stems even more so since her Spiritual Album Releases Ardaas 1 and Ardaas 2. More recently, Waheguru Jaap (2020) & MoolMantar (2023) were released.
2012, Sonia performed excluively at the Mind Body Spirit Festival with full Live Band The 515 Crew at Earls Court, Olympia, London.
NYE 2014 marked the re-birth of this spiritual journey as Sonia teamed up with talented musicians from 'Flute That Groove' to perform Kirtan as SEVA to the Sikh Sangat - this was their first spiritual collaboration.
Sonia is available to perform Shabad Kiran for private bookings or spiritual events upon special request.
